Shahrukh Khan (age 51, born on 2 November 1965, height 1.73 m) is a famous Indian film actor and producer, who is also known as "SRK", "Baadshah", "King of Bollywood" or "King Khan" in the Bollywood industry. He has acted in more than 80 films in his 25 years of film career.
He was born and raised in New Delhi to a Muslim family. He attended St. Columba's School and received the school's highest award - the Sword of Honour. Shahrukh then enrolled at Hansraj College to get his bachelor's degree in Economics, but most of his time was spent at Delhi's Theatre Action Group, where he studied acting. Then he went for a master's degree in Mass Communications at Jamia Millia Islamia, but left his studies to pursue a career in acting.
Today, he is one of the most successful and wealthiest actors in the world. He also has ownership rights of an IPL cricket team called Kolkata Knight Riders. There's a wax statue of him in Madame Tussaud's Museum in England, along with Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sachin Tendulkar, Madhuri Dixit, Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Debut - He started his acting career from a TV series Dil Dariya (1988), but due to delay in production he made his acting debut with 1989 TV series Fauji. This show helped him to bag a role in the TV series Circus (1989-1990). After this show some critics started comparing his acting skills and looks with Dilip Kumar, also known as the Tragedy King. At that point of time he was not interested in Bollywood, he wanted to concentrate more on his acting skills. Later, he changed his mind and signed his first project Dil Aashna Hai, directed by Hema Malini. However, his debut film was Deewana, which was released in June 1992. For this movie, he was awarded, the Filmfare Best Male Debut Award.

1. Baazigar (1993) - For which he won his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor, staring Kajol and Shilpa Shetty.
2. Karan Arjun (1995) - This film became the second-highest-grossing film of the year 1995 in India and also stars Salman Khan and Kajol.
3. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) - This movie is one of the most successful films of his career, which won 10 Filmfare Awards and is the longest-running film in the history of Indian Cinema. It has completed 20 years of its screening and is still being shown at the Maratha Mandir theater in Mumbai.

4. Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) - He portrayed the role of Rahul in this movie and had Madhuri Dixit and Karisma Kapoor as his co-stars. He won his third Best Actor Award at Filmfare for this film.
5. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) - This was his fourth film along with Kajol, which became the highest-grossing film of 1998 worldwide at the box office.
6. Devdas (2002) - It was one of the most expensive Bollywood films ever made during that time. The film was a huge hit at the box office and won many awards including 10 Filmfares.
7. Swades (2004) - This movie was a turning point of his career, in which he portrayed the role of a NASA scientist who patriotically returns to India to bond with his family.
8. Chak De! India (2007) - Great music and patriotic feelings, this movie still inspires us in many ways. He got the Filmfare Best Actor award for this movie and this is considered as one of the best roles played by SRK.
9. My Name Is Khan (2010) - This was his fourth collaboration with director Karan Johar and his sixth with Kajol. This film was based on true events which took place in the US after the 11 September attacks.
10. Chennai Express (2013) - Despite mixed review from the critics, this film became the highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in 2013, surpassing 3 Idiots's record at the box office.

Personal Life
After six-year of courtship, he married Gauri Chibbar (a Punjabi girl) on 25 October 1991, in a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony. Now they are blessed with three children, two sons Aryan (born 1997), AbRam (born 2013) and a daughter Suhana (born 2000).
Shahrukh Khan’s House Mannat - King Khan lives in an astonishing house named Mannat in Mumbai, with his entire family and leads a royal life. Everyday thousands of his fans stand outside his house just to get a glimpse of SRK. Other than that he is so obsessed with play stations, that one floor of his mansion, Mannat is dedicated to games alone.

He has received 14 Filmfare Awards in his entire career, which include 8 awards for the Best Actor category. In 2005, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. While the Government of France honored him with the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (2007) and their highest civilian honour, the Légion d'honneur in 2014.
