That ugly layer of fat on your face called double chin. Do you really want it there? Let’s face it, you’re definitely not looking any hotter with that extra flab hanging around. But the problem is, it’s more difficult to get rid of it than get it. And you definitely can’t go to the gym for this. So, how to go about it? Try these exercises and within weeks your double chin would have left its territory.
1. Tongue press
Sit with your back straight and shoulder down and tilt your head back slowly and try to look at the ceiling. Now start pressing your tongue on the roof of your mouth, lowering your chin to your chest as much as possible. This exercise can help get rid of double chin and also straighten your neck.
2. Sugar-free gum
Just chewing sugar-free gum can be one of the easiest ways to get rid of double chin. Chewing gum can help to give the muscles in your jaw line a workout and also help to eradicate the extra amount of fats near your chin. Chewing sugar-free gum can help to get rid of a double chin as quick as possible.
3. Cheek lifts
Cheek lifts is an exercise that affects your double chin and tonnes the jawline area. This exercise can be performed anywhere and anytime. You need to smile as much as possible and to try to lift up the cheeks as much as you can. This will help to strain you cheek muscles which would result in lowering of fats accumulated near your chin.
4. Head exercise
Gently turn your head clockwise and then anticlockwise, keeping your spine straight. Do this 5 to 10 times everyday morning and in the noon to get rid of the double chin fast. Head exercise not only helps to eradicate double chin but also helps to reduce neck and shoulder pain.
5. Pout and tilt
Stick out your lower lip as much as possible and try to make a pout. Now with your lips in the same position, try to contract the muscles at the front of your neck to lower your chin to your chest as far as possible without affecting or moving your upper back. Pause for some time and repeat again. In simple words, make a pout looking to the ceiling.
6. Jaw release
Whether you are sitting or standing, jaw release is an exercise that can be done anywhere and anytime. Try to move your jaw as much as possible without opening your lips. This exercise helps to stretch the muscles around the lips, cheeks and jaws. Breathe in and out slowly while humming.
7. Fish face
Fish face exercise is also known as smiling fish exercise, is also popular for getting rid of double chin easily. This exercise helps in toning and stretching the cheek muscles and reducing the flabbiness. All you need to do is suck in your lips like we used to do as kids and try to achieve fish face. Do this as much as possible to get rid of extra fats sooner. I guess, this exercise might become your favourite.
8. Kiss the ceiling
Stand tall and try to look at the ceiling and try to kiss the ceiling as high and as much as you can. You should try to extend your lips as much as you can so that you feel tightening of a face, neck and chin. Hold this posture and repeat doing this every day.
9. Blowing air exercise
Blowing air exercise not only helps to treat your double chin but it also helps to benefit your cheeks, neck muscles, and chin. Sit on a chair with your back straight and tilt your head as much as you can and try to look at the ceiling. Now blow out some air and continue doing this for 5-10 times.
10. Mouthwash more
Regular use of mouthwash can also help get rid of double chin easily. It helps strengthen and build the cheek muscles and also helps in reducing double chin. Sit down comfortably and fill in your mouth with air and shift it from one cheek to another just like how you do with mouthwash. Repeat doing this 5-10 times.
