What can you expect under the flyovers in Mumbai? Well, they are some street vendors or underrated activities taking place and none of us have ever thought about bringing a change to this place.

But this time, a group united together and initiated an idea of constructing a park under the flyover which is now just like a fresh air in the city of Mumbai. Yes, Mumbai’s 1st under-flyer over the park is finally open and it looks good, stunning and beautiful. The under-flyer pack is situated under Tulpule flyover on Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Road at Matunga.

According to reports, it is said that Under-flyover pack was actually constructed back in 2014 but due to constant rifts between Congress and Shiv Sena, the topic of contention was a hot topic there. The project was delayed for many years due to tiffs between Nayna Seth from Congress and Trushna Vishwasrao from Shiv Sena.

The project was initiated by the ‘One Matunga’ group who intended to get rid of gamblers under the flyover and also beautify the area under the flyover. This under-flyover park has a 600-meter long jogging track in the form of Narmada river as well as children’s park and the good news is, Mumbaikars got a jogging track that would protect them in monsoon days.
The 5 crore project was inaugurated by Mayor Snehal Ambekar and attended by local residents of the area as well as several politicians.
