Indian fans seemed really gung ho going into the ICC T20 World Cup. However, the miserable loss to Pakistan in their first game was a very rude reality check. The subsequent hateful trolling of everyone connected and not connected to the game showed how much of a shock that was. And then we lost to New Zealand – quite comprehensively as well. NZ won by 8 wickets with 33 balls to spare. Here are some of the INDvsNZ memes that the tweeple used to express angst and deep disappointment.
Fans thought that loss was an aberration; that the Indian team would bounce back. They were confident - not for long.

The presence of M S Dhoni as team mentor has not seemed to help. After the miserable losses to Pakistan and then New Zealand, Indian cricket fans don’t have much interest in the remaining matches. It’s going to be India v Afghanistan on 3rd November for any Indian fan who’s still interested in the ICC T20 World Cup.
