We have all been through that phase, when being a kid meant we could get away with doing anything. Innumerable pranks and scoldings from elders established the fact that we had a bright and colourful childhood. To recollect just how mischievous we were as kids, here are 11 pranks we all, either played on someone or became a victim of at some point of our childhood years:
Quietly hiding a bijli bomb around Diwali and bursting it when some unsuspecting person passed by
Diwali brings back fond memories of scaring friends and neighbours by bursting the small, red crackers when they least expected it, and then running away giggling.
Hide behind the door and scare people as they entered totally unaware
It sounded harmless but ensured lots of shrieks. The idea was to stand behind the door and shock anyone who entered unalarmed.
Tying shoelaces
Tying the shoelaces of one's shoes together. Anybody sitting or standing, the moment they tried to walk, got disbalanced and fell.
Sneaking out off the back door after attendance
Slowly and silently, making your way out of a class, though this was more successful in college.
Eat chocolates, fill it with stones, wrap again and give to your friends - classic evil
Do we say more? Some hapless souls even put them in their mouths without seeing and...rest, as they say, was chemistry or physics!
Gifting empty boxes to siblings on their birthdays
And then seeing their faces and laughing. *grin*
Pulling back a chair, exactly when someone wanted to sit on it.
Oouch! 5 stars for this prank.
Ringing random people’s doorbells and running away
This irritated almost all the neighbours and while they suspected you, they never could prove it to your parents.
Attacking people with water balloons
Especially around Holi. But in your defence, 'everyone was doing it', right?
Bunking school without anyone knowing
And they still don't know about your days as a carefree, class cutting, rule breaker. (Sigh!)
Plucking fruits from trees and running away as soon as the gardener showed up
Best childhood memories are all about the fun we had.
