For a young, but coming of age, age-group of the young 20 something's, Banegi Apni Baat was the quintessential Zee serving of romance, anguish, excitement, love and it's labor lost. It is a must watch and is still remembered having vacated the TV screens nearly 2 decades back.

Based on a popular novel by Late Shri Jaywant Dalvi, Hasratein was a beautiful and heart-wrenching adaptation of a woman who leaves her husband and maintains an extra-marital equation with another man. Shefali Shah and Harsh Chaya were at their best in Hasratein, one of Zee's most loved shows.
The trouble causing, mayhem wrecking but the cutely crazy band of 5 sisters was perhaps the most adored show of its times. It squared a highly troubled but funnily charming dad against the miscreants in his own family and rolled up a laughter for an entire generation that grew up admiring Zee's penchant for comedy. Ashok Sarraf was perhaps at his best in Hum Paanch.
The feelings and emotions of a close knit bunch of 12th graders who were coming to life to life's challenges, anguishes and that thing called love. Hip Hip Hurray was a regaling triumph for the young teenagers who were ready to take on life's challenges.
This one was a classic. We will include a recent one here. The epic chemistry between god, as played by a modern avatar of Lord Shiva; Shivay and his famous pupil- Bhagwan Das Chowbey; a mid age, middle class struggler who seeks in the lord a cushy comfort away from life's woes and troubles was a soul stirring hit. Episode after episode, Zee served lessons in good living, kindness, gratitude and the very simple but essential aspect of standing up for one's belief and family courtesy this much loved show. Himanshu Soni was at his dapper best as the young lord Shiva in Neeli Chatri Wale.
