The 7 Most Controversial International TV Shows And Their Controversies

There is a thing about TV shows. You cannot certify them with 'A' certificates and make it selectively available to the audience. Hence, whenever any controversial subject is touched upon in the TV shows, it becomes a subject of debate among the audience worldwide.

Let's have a look at 7 of the most controversial shows of all time that have stirred up controversies across the globe and received different kinds of responses from its viewers!

1. Heil Honey, I'm Home (1990)

The most tasteless situational comedy you would've ever seen! This TV show had a character, representing Adolf Hitler, who is living a normal "uncomfortable" life across a Jewish couple's house! Well, considering his history with Jews, so it's no surprise that the show got cancelled after just one episode!

2. Skins (2007-2013)

Skins was one of the shows that perhaps anyone would love today because it dealt with real-life problems of teenagers around England.

3. South Park (1997- Present)

Everything that have been said about South Park is just not enough to describe what it is all about. But, let me just try!  It's racist, it's sexist, it's homophobic and in fact, it touches every odd controversial topic on the planet in the most insensitive way ever! But well, TV shows are a mirror of society!

4. Australia's Naughtiest Videos (1992)

How many have you seen America's Funniest Videos? The fun-crazy home videos about funny incidents! Australia's Naughtiest Videos are also kind off same just about 100 times filthier! Not that it is a 100% pornography, but well, it cannot be segregated in any other category either! The best part? Not even the first episode was aired completely, it was cancelled part ways and the show was cancelled!

5. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo (2012- 2014)

Presenting the lives of a stereotypical rural American family of five, "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is severely criticised for glorifying lousy parenting techniques!  The show finally ended when the rumours surfaced that June Shannon was actually going to date a person who is charged with child molestation! Jeez, I wonder what kind of a show that was!

6. Dexter (2006-2013)

Manifesting the idea of taking upon bad by the bad itself is a new but controversial concept too! In Dexter, we are presented with Dexter Morgan, a blood-splatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police by the day and a serial killer taking upon other serial killers by the night! What would you call him? An angel in disguise or otherwise!

7. Black Jesus (2014- Present)

Well, it is one of those shows that tries to re-define history in an attempt to raise contemporary issues. Black Jesus portrays the re-arrival of Christ on Earth. He even sells weed for his survival on Earth. To stir a never-ending controversy among the religious lot, the TV show also shows Jesus dropping N-bombs around the show!
