Kangana Ranaut is currently making headlines for going on Karan Johar’s show and telling him exactly what she feels about him, the insular world of Hindi cinema and about the way it pivots on nepotism; no words minced.
…and she did it like a boss! Karan Johar and Saif Ail Khan who accompanied her on the infamous couch are blue blooded in their own ways – but this did not stop Kangana from holding up a mirror to them by speaking about how people change when confronted by success.
Out loud! Call it honesty, call it guts, call it stupidly brave; but she said it!
When her accent was made fun of, she simply decided to take it on the chin and improve her accent.
Most actors would give their right arm to work with Salman Khan, Aamir Khan or Shah Rukh Khan. Not Kangana, though. She doesn’t want to be a part of any project where she is not given due importance.
She wasn’t scared to take on Hrithik Roshan and Rakesh Roshan; even when it came to police complaints and defamation suits. She stands her own ground and for what she believes is right.
She carried the film effortlessly on her shoulders; showing off her formidable talent and riveting screen presence. Her other hits such as Fashion, Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu 2, were even more evidence of this.
A distinctly offbeat movie; one would say bizarre movie… she was brave enough to do this one as well.
