Just when we thought that the whole brouhaha about the awesome, exciting, unprecedented hit from the Marvel Universe was done and dusted months after the release, #AvengersEndgame stars to trend again. Apparently, it has now beaten global records and Marvel is re-releasing the film with some added footage. Fans are thrilled to bits.
For years, Avatar remained the highest-grossing film of all time. It had a ten-year reign as the biggest ever box office hit. Fans and film pundits both knew that it was only a matter of time before it was dethroned by Avengers Endgame.
Avengers Endgame is now officially the highest grossing film of all time. It has raked in $2.8 billion – yes with a ‘b’ – worldwide.
The maker of Avatar is feeling a little put out right now. Possibly. His film ruled for ten years, after all.
Ecstatic! They are delighted, that their fave movie has managed to topple the world record in a scant few months after its release in April this year.
I can understand these guys being over the moon… they're really raking in the moolah with the super success of this film. But what exactly do fans gain from people paying other people to watch a film?
“We did it”, said fans. Yes you did – you made the Russo brothers very famous and very, very rich.
Both, possibly. The fans are feeling vindicated for their devotion; which has received the validation it deserved from the world.
There are five Marvel movies in that list of top ten. Obviously, there is a lot of fellow-feeling among the fans right now – a sort of my daddy’s strongest sort of pride.
There was another big announcement made - The Avengers Endgame movie will be available in Blu-ray format by the end of the month.
How does everyone seemingly fly through the air? How much fun did they have making the movie? There will be a gag reel and more, it was announced.
The announcement refocused attention of the film that so many loved. It gave people an excuse to revisit some of the most seeti-maar and paisa-vasool scenes from the film: such as this final battle scene.

The cooperative effort and good triumphing against evil… Being worthy to wield a powerful weapon. I’ll admit it – it is all fairly heartwarming and paisa-vasool.
Angelina Jolie joins the Marvel bandwagon. Natalie Portman will wield the hammer in Thor 4. Scarlett Johansen will get her own standalone film about her character Black Widow. And we are soon to have the first LGBTQ superhero. The makers of Avengers Endgame have perfected the art of keeping audiences wanting more. Is it any wonder that the film overtook Avatar!
