We saw the trailer of Avengers Endgame not too long ago and for a lot of us, it was depressing that Ironman seemed to be breathing his last; that it was all doom and gloom mostly. Trailer no 2 dropped on 14 May – it talks about doing one's best and starting over. It is a little more upbeat and the end practically makes you want to clap in delight. “If there’s even a small chance,” says Black Widow (Natasha Romanov). “Whatever it takes”, they say repeatedly. In the end, we see Captain Marvel; which fans expected now, after the release of the standalone film.
So now that the Avengers are marshalling their forces and regrouping, fans are hopeful that some dead superheroes will come back to life, and Thanos the supervillian will get his just comeuppance .
In the end, Captain Marvel stands before Thor, who recalls his “Stormbreaker” and she doesn’t flinch... though it whirrs right past her head!
He says, “I like this one” and fans were practically crying with joy!
It doesn’t take much for the meme-machine to go into overdrive; imagining that Thor and Captain Marvel would become an item.
Where there is a trending trailer, the memes cannot be far behind!
The whole concept of superheroes getting together and kicking major butt and avenging the deaths of their friends, gladdens the heart. It just does!
The movie is going to be about 3 hours long. Viewers are prepared for it.
In spite of the previous trailer indicating that Tony Stark was in the death throes, he is clearly back… and they all have cool new suits to boot!
People are grateful that Tony isn’t dead. For now. There is a strong expectation that he will, though. We have a fair idea that Captain America will in fact die as well.
The movie hits theatres only next month, but fans are already conferring academy awards on it.
I agree with this commentator – this Imagine Dragons song is brilliantly apt! Licencing issues I reckon?
He died too, but we haven’t seen hair nor hide of this unpredictable, slippery villain/hero
Everyone now has their eyes trained on the release date – 26 April 2019. Meanwhile, they will be watching for any new scrap of info about the movie and will remain in a state of heightened anticipation until the actual release of Avengers Endgame.
