The Bala teaser dropped in August and told us little except for the fact that the movie is something to do with hair loss and the supposed trauma that accompanies it. The Bala trailer tells us that the movie is certainly all about hair loss and attempts to regrow it, but also seems to touch on issues of colourism, our hypocrisies and so on.
The trailer follows the trials and tribulations of Bala who is losing hair and self-confidence at the same rate. He will try anything for a full head of hair --- almost anything, that is. Ayushmann Khurrana is in the title role as Bala and the film also stars Yami Gautam, Bhumi Pednekar, Javed Jaffrey as Bachchan Bhaiya and Saurabh Shukla as Bala's father.
Reactions to the trailer have been generally good. People have liked the story and humorous theme as well as the actors and their performances.
