We can’t deny the fact that Bhojpuri Cinema is often ignored in the glitz and glam of Bollywood. But it is also true that we just love them. I mean our Indian marriages feel incomplete when we don’t dance on ‘jab lagawelu tu lipistic’ and ‘kamariya’ song. But why Bhojpuri movies never make to multiplexes.
1.B-Grade movies
Regional movies are often categorized as B-Grade movies. So some outstanding movies like“Raja Babu” and “Patna Se Pakistan”, never got the limelight. Nirahua aka Dinesh Lal Yadav emerged as a big name In 2015.
2.Limited target audience
It’s true Bhojpuri movies are good. But not all the people watch the regional movies. I don’t think people can handle the standards of Bhojpuri movies like ‘HAMAR BHAUJI’.
3.Tough competition for Bollywood movies
As many Bhojpuri movies are doing so well, Bollywood is now scared from Bhojpuri movies. I mean TOLLYWOOD is already giving competition to them so why create another rival.
4. Sponsorship issues
Many times even good movies don’t get sponsors and it’s a major issue for the underdogs.
5.Obscenity
As we all know Bhojpuri movies usually have obscenity in them and sometimes it gets beyond the category of the adult. So, you know how our dear Censor Board is, right?
