All our lives, we are told to prepare for our board exams. To do so, we do everything from taking extra classes to studying all night, just so that we can score good marks. But you would be surprised to know that, in the long run, board marks really don’t matter. Don’t believe me? Let me give you six reasons why:
They Don’t Define Who You Are

You don’t need good marks to be somebody
Scoring marks above 85% doesn’t define who you are. Just because you got 60%, doesn’t mean you can’t get a good job. If you are passionate and are willing to work hard, you will do great in life.
Even Without Good Marks, You Can Still Get Into A Decent College

Yes, you can get a good college too
Just because you couldn’t meet those extortionate cut-off’s in D.U colleges, doesn’t mean you won’t be able to get into a decent college. There are many good colleges in which the criteria of admission is via an entrance exam. And as far as board marks go, you just have to meet the basic requirement.
Practical Knowledge Is Also Important

Knowledge is important
Just being a bookworm will never get you far ahead in life. Though you will surely achieve good marks, having practical knowledge, general awareness and presence of mind is more important.
It’s Not the End of the World

Stop worrying, the world is not ending
The time you have spent during high school is just one phase of your life. The theoretical knowledge you learned here is not everything. After school begins a new phase of your life, one you can mould in any way you want.
It’s Most Likely Going To Be Just An Entry Pass

Knowledge is power
Even if you score good marks, it’s important to understand that we actually live in a skill based world. And while getting into a good college becomes easier, living out in the real world still requires additional skill sets that need to be acquired.
