In view of the constantly soaring COVID numbers in Indian, many countries have banned or are in the process of banning the entry of Indians into their country. The Maldives is one of those countries. The Maldives also happens to be the favourite vacation spot for rich and famous Indians. So when the tiny island country announced their Indian tourist ban, it was schadenfreude time for desi Twitter.

The Maldives Ministry of Tourism put out this tweet saying that tourists from India would no longer be permitted to stay at tourist facilities on inhabited islands.
