Taylor Swift released a new song at midnight (about 8 AM India time) on 6th December 2019. All the previous day, #ChristmasTreeFarm was trending worldwide in anticipation of the song’s release. The Christmas Tree Farm song is here, fans are delirious and it is a surprisingly straightforward, sweet and likeable song.
This is very much a festive Christmas song with an upbeat melody and sleigh-bells ringing. The song seems full of nostalgia about Swift’s own childhood growing up at Christmas Tree Farm; particularly about celebrating Christmas with family.
The video appears to include home videos of Taylor Swift herself as a child. Or maybe not.
The kid in the video does look very much like Swift and it does seem as though these are her own childhood home videos. In any case, that is a very, very cute and uncomplicated, happy-making video.
Obviously the Taylor Swift fandom is delighted that there is a new song from their idol.

The video features a scene where young Taylor received a guitar as a Christmas gift. People were really loving it.
The song starts with a grown-up Swift singing about how busy and stressful Christmas time can be and then becomes all nostalgic about the innocent and carefree Christmases of the past.
