What is Comic Con all about?

Comic Con is a multi-genre entertainment and comic convention held annually in various countries across the globe. It all started in San Diego, California, United States. The name, as given on its website, is Comic-Con International: San Diego; but it is commonly known simply as Comic-Con.

Geek culture at its finest - The starting of Comic Con

Comic Con started out as a forum to celebrate geek culture by allowing the big names from the world of science fiction, comics and entertainment to reach out to the fans. There’s a reason that you can go to one convention and see superheroes, wizards, spaceships, and zombies celebrated all in one place. Not so long ago, fans of any of these things didn’t have a place where they could share those interests.

Now, it’s not “nerd culture” anymore

It’s easy to cynically dismiss Comic Con as just corporate advertising for movies and shows, but that misses the point. The stories, characters, and worlds that nerds have loved for years have value, and now everyone can take part.

The list of celebrities is indeed impressive and covers the entire spectrum in the world of entertainment. Let us look at some of the big names, who will be thronging the venue.
