When I came across this tweet and the discussion it triggered about the pain points of online shopping, I thought to myself, that is a first world problem right there! In spite of the deep self-indulgence of the sentiment it expresses, it is still funny and relatable. Online shopping has made it easier than ever for us to buy pretty much anything we desire, but do we still find reasons to crib? Hell yes!
One has access to pretty much anything one wants while curled up in a warm comfy bed. The problem? Having to get out of the bed one is fortunate enough to be in to get the credit card one is fortunate enough to be able to afford.
Moving a few muscles and walking a few steps? Too much effort!
Forgetting to pay bills can also mean having to take the extreme measure of getting out of bed…
You make the major effort to get out of bed --- only to find that you cannot find the bag... that has the wallet… that has the card.
Apps will offer to store card info and browsers help us out with autofill. Still complaining?

…On auto pilot. It is like muscle memory!
UPI payments are even more convenient – the app is right there on the phone!

In this freezing weather, simply getting out of bed is too much of an effort.
The situation makes us think of what really matters – getting out of bed to complete the transaction or just not buying something that may be unnecessary in any case.
We can save the card number but we still need the CVV – forgetting it may just save us a bunch of money!
Having the amazing comfort and convenience of online shopping and home delivery --- but still finding a reason to crib? Say it with me – first world problem!
