I don’t know about you, but I thought that the new Jungle Book was an unnecessarily terrifying version of the sweet, funny old musical. Same for Lion King – while the earlier animation was largely sweet and childlike, the recent remake was altogether too realistic – and scary. There is a small dog who agrees with me.
This video featuring Maya was originally posted on TikTok where it swiftly went viral with over 7.3M likes. It was then posted on Twitter where also, it gained lakhs of likes.
That very real and menacing-looking Scar and the pouncing hyenas --- who wouldn’t have nightmares!
A lot of people had a lot of sympathy for the little fur baby as she hightailed it out of there.
There were many who agreed with that.
Like that.
Maybe it’s the angle of the shot but that hyena really did seem to be coming at the poor little tyke.
Many of the tweeple were just very amused by the little doggie’s video.
…Because one good turn deserves another.
Hyenas can be quite dangerous, particularly when they hunt in packs. Maybe that doggie knows a thing or two.
There seems to be a clear mismatch between the visuals on the screen and the music but never mind that – that’s an adorable dog.
Maybe they also have their own favourite shows, as this tweet claims. And dogs watching Lion King on TV gives us some really cute viral videos too, it would seem.
