Politician family events have always been a star-studded one affair, and Nitin Gadkari’s daughter’s wedding was no less. With so many celebrities, elites and rich people flying down to the city, this wedding was bound to get a lot of media attention and it did.
According to reports, the lavish wedding was held on December 4, 2016 and was an affair attended by only close family and friends. Two receptions were planned for the 6th and 8th in Nagpur and Delhi recepectively and this is where all the who's-who showed uo. The guest list of VVIPs included Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP President Amit Shah, industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Ratan Tata, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray, and several other Union Ministers and Chief Ministers
Recent reports suggested that Gadkari had chartered 50 private aircrafts to ferry guests to Nagpur for the wedding. However, Gadkari denied the reports and later only 11 aircrafts came to Nagpur which included Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev
Gadkari’s daughter Ketki is the youngest among three siblings. She tied the knot with long time friend Aditya, the son of Sandhya and Ravindra Kaskhedikar of Nagpur. The bridegroom works with Facebook in the US.
The reception in Delhi was held at a Lutyens' bungalow decorated to resemble a fairyland on Moti Lal Nehru Marg. Not only did Prime Minister, Narendra Modi attended the function, but the presence of top-class industrialists and Bollywood stars added more glitz to the wedding.
Because the wedding and the venue were so high profile, everyone would be wandering the kind of food served at this five-star property. The variety of cuisine served at the wedding included Italian, Chinese, Rajasthani, Marathi, Gujarati, Thai and even a South Indian spread.
