The Met Gala is an event where celebs compete with each other to see who can be more avant-garde and outré. Each year has a different theme, but what remains constant is that the attendees try to scale new heights of outrageousness. These days, with Elon Musk being the flavour of the season, people were paying attention to him as well as all the other outfits at Met Gala 2022. Here are some of the highlights of the Met Gala this year:

This was Jared Leto. Known for this extremely outré outfits each year (including when he came dressed in red along with a decapitated head that looked very much like him) this year he came as… a twin?
I don’t know about the glamour or the gilding in this outfit, all I could think of was, hope he doesn’t poke his eye out.

Blake Lively had this red carpet unveiling (bronze to aqua to reflect the Statue of Liberty) and apparently husband Ryan Reynolds was very surprised.
Indian businesswoman Natasha Poonawala was seen flaunting this interpretation of the saree on the red carpet.
Conspicuous by their absence were Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Zendaya, Doja Cat, Lady Gaga, Beyonce… some were heartbroken.
Why was Elon Musk there? His mom wanted to come so that was his reason. A lot of desi commentators thought it he was a very good boy for brining his mother to the Met Gala 2022.
