Jingle Bells in Bhojpuri? Yes! And There’s More!

If you were asked to pick one song that you most closely associated with Christmas; that would be Jingle Bells, right? It is the song that everyone knows and loves and will sing at the drop of a hat! Jingle Bells is also the song that has been made into many different versions – Punjabi, Bhojpuri, and even a Minions version! Take a look:

The Bhojpuri version has gone viral

“Jingle belwa, jingle belwa, jingle belwa bajela” it starts. This version of the beloved Christmas carol has become so popular that ‘bachcha bachcha’ isse jaanta hai! If you asked a youngster at school to sing Jingle Bells, you would probably hear this version!

Jingle Bells – with a Punjabi Tadka!

This one is in English, but will have you doing the Bhangra. How? Just Watch! But I guaruntee that the strange looking Santa with the broken teeth and scary eyes riding atop an unidentifiable ruminant... he is not someone you want delivering gifts to your kids!

Jingle Bells - In Bengali

Calcutta appears really festive during Christmas - Santa Claus appears to be in a really good mood too! Here is the Bangla version of Jingle Bells; if you can understand it, that is!

Tamil-Gujarati version of Jingle Bells

Among all the desi or regional versions of Jingle Bells, I have to say I liked this one the best! Not just because my mother tongue is Gujarati; I like this one because it rocks! It's just great fun - listen in.

Jingle Bells, Batman Smells

This version sounds almost normal until it becomes all about Batman! This version of Jingle Bells is about the superhero losing his pants, and later his car wheel and about the Joker running away! Strange; but funny as well!

An oldie, but a goodie!

Here is Jingle Bell Rock, a song that dates back to the 1957 and has been sung and re-sung many times by different artistes. This is a delightful Disney version of the old ditty – enjoy!

Jingle Bells – by the Minions

The Minions from Despicable Me are arguably the most lovable cartoon characters created this century. So here are the Minions singing Jingle Bells in their own style – singing complete gibberish of course... doing what they do best: looking quite adorable!

Instrumental Jingle Bells - with a twist!

They eschewed using words here and let the instruments do the talking for them. This is a delightful version of Jingle Bells featuring the tabla, harmonium and dholak. And don't miss their festive red caps!
