It’s a lot of fun for people to visit places such as Madame Tussauds and other wax museums to view wax replicas of celebrities, famous historical figures and take pictures with them. Sometimes those statues are so lifelike, people can pretend that they actually met these people and pull a fast one on friends and family. But there are times when those wax statues go very, very wrong --- as in the case of:
This interpretation of Jolie resides at Lonavala. Apart from the really, really strange face, they got everything wrong including basic body measurements. And then there are the shoes --- what are those shoes? Is that supposed to be Lara Croft – Tomb Raider or Lara Croft – Polio Survivor?
They seem to have got the eye colour right. That, and the ears. That's pretty much it. Everything else is someone else.
That, allegedly, is Miley Cyrus. Perhaps, but for some reason, this reminded me of Fiona from the Shrek movies. It’s not the ears --- maybe it’s the teeth?
That isn’t Shah Rukh Khan. It isn’t young SRK. It isn’t even SRK with the weird jaw and mental eyes from Fan. Who is this?
This, apparently, is after the statue received a wardrobe change makeover. Kareena herself seems happy enough with it – but why!
This is supposed to be Beyonce Knowles. My mind said No! This looks like someone completely different – but who? Then it came to me in a flash: it’s not Beyonce, this is Mallika Sherawat in a blond wig!
That is supposed to be Ranveer Singh. I have to ask, does Ranveer Singh know this? According to the tweeple, this looks like a hybrid of Sriram Nene and Ray Romano. Creepily accurate!
From the hair and the outfits, it certainly seems to indicate as much. These strange depictions of two beloved Indians, are from Prabhakar's Wax Museum in Ludhiana.
From the hair and the world cup trophy, I would guess Sachin Tendulkar. But for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out the other one until I read the comments below the tweet. Apparently, that is Kapil Sharma! At least according to Prabhakar's Wax Museum, it is.
Maybe this is supposed to Michael Jackson, maybe it’s supposed to be someone from a wedding band (whose outfit this seems to be).
Prabhakar, created these statues and this museum of his as a hobby at age 71, while recovering from heart surgery. Needless to say, he receives a lot of unkind laughter for his modest efforts which he manages singlehandedly. He says he doesn’t mind the negativity about his wax statue fails --- after all, it’s the negativity that made him viral. More people now pay Rs. 100 to go see his work. Besides, if Madame Tussauds, with its state of the art facilities, gets it so wrong, so often, why can’t Prabhakar's Wax Museum in Ludhiana.
