Each year, the Met Gala is a fashion event that the world waits for. Here celebrities vie with each other to be seen in the most outré, outrageous and original of outfits. In 2019, our own Priyanka Chopra had made a bit of a splash at the Met Gala. Each year the event has specific fashion themes. Camp: Notes of Fashion was the theme in 2019 and then there was no Gala last year. In 2021, the theme was In America: A Lexicon of Fashion. Here are some eye-catching moments from the 2021 Met Gala; and also why Ranveer Singh was trending.

So apparently this is big news in celeb gossip circuits – the formerly married, then divorced couple of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck (aka Bennifer) are together again. If there were doubts, this passionate masked kiss would serve to dispel them.

Singer songwriter Billie Eilish was one of the co-chairs this year and her look was dedicated to tragic yesteryears star Marilyn Monroe.
A lot of the guests arrived with some comfort accessories such as this mildly disturbing comfort robot that Frank Ocean brought along.

But Rihanna is always worth waiting for, according to fans as well as the pap.
