Mission Mangal Trailer 2 – Working Up to a Big Independence Day Release

Stories with a patriotic theme are usually released on or around Independence Day, Republic Day and so on. Mission Mangal, the story about India’s hardworking and brilliant but unsung ISRO scientists is one such. People loved the first trailer of Mission Mangal for its relatable characters, homespun wisdom, gentle humour and of course its nationalistic theme. The second trailer extrapolates on those themes in readiness for release next week.

So we have some more of the determined but resource-starved scientists, doing their best under difficult circumstances. We have the determined leader in Rakesh Dhawan played by Akshay (Mr. Bharat) Kumar, Vidya Balan playing the inventive but devout Tara Shinde, Sonakshi Sinha as Eka Gandhi, Taapsee Pannu as Kritika Aggarwal, Nithya Menen as Varsha Gowda, Kirti Kulhari as Neha Siddiqui and Sharman Joshi as Parmeshwar Naidu.

Story of never giving up

The ISRO  team meets with many setbacks and failures but sticks to the job at hand. Their motto is FAIL stands for First Attempt In Learning; the famous words of APJ Abdul Kalam.

People are loving it

The movie seems to be a recipe for success and a lot of people are looking forward to watching it when it releases on 15th of August.

Good timing

The timing of the trailer is just right and has piqued everyone's interest and curiosity. The trailer has likely created enough excitement to get people into theatres.

Many of the tweeple seemed convinced that this movie is going to be a hit at the box-office.

Celebrating women

Many expressed the view that that the movie celebrates strong, independent, powerful women. However, others point out that it is still the man in charge of everything and women are depicted as traditional and consigned to secondary roles.

The other big release of the Independence Day weekend is Batla House, another movie that promises to be about doing whatever it takes for the country. This is the story of a fearless police officer (John Abraham) going after criminals at the cost of his personal and professional life.
