Salman Khan appears to be living the rural life these days. It seems that he was at his farm outside Mumbai in Panvel when the COVID lockdown was announced. This is where he made the well-intentioned but quite dreadful video song Bhai Bhai. If the PR is to be believed, Bollywood's biggest, baddest star has since been immersed in agriculture. Social media was abuzz about a particular muddy picture of Bhai – here’s what the tempest in this particular teacup was all about.
Several videos and images of bhai doing stuff at his Panvel farmhouse have emerged on social media. Bhai fans are of course riveted.
The superstar appears to have turned his hand to farming. This was to send out the jai jawan, jai kissan message.
This tweet in particular caught the attention of the tweeple.
But then Bhai fans love everything that the man does and doesn’t do.
The jai jawan, jai kissan message is a timeless one.
Some of the tweeple were considerably less impressed and offered a possible scenario where the picture was taken.
The tweeple instantly pointed out that the mud appeared to have been smeared on; and that they seemed to have forgotten the hands!
Some charged him with overacting since even real farmers don’t get this muddy.
Some wondered whether this tweet suggested some upcoming movie.
Many of the tweeple were sceptical about the image in the tweet.
This is clearly something devised by the star’s PR team to retain the attention of the public at a time theatres are shut and big banner movies are unable to release.
This tweet offers another possible explanation for Salman Khan’s mud smeared arms and legs.
One response suggested that the mud was part of some skin treatment/regime. It was noted that the actor had not a hair out of place; all perfectly coifed and slicked back!
Perhaps this is an advert for a detergent? He's been known to sell washing powder before.
One person added a ‘lota’ to the image to indicate why this very muddy Salman Khan is to be founding sitting in a field.
