There is a common belief that number 13 is unlucky. The number is synonymous with bad luck and most people avoid having anything to do with this number. It is considered unlucky to have a 13th guest in a hotel at a dinner party while some buildings don't have the 13th floor. Have you ever wondered why? Is there any statical proof to support superstition? Here are some possible reasons why 13 is considered unlucky by most.

Apollo 13 was the only unsuccessful moon mission in the history of NASA. Due to an explosion in the oxygen tank it seemed like the astronauts would perish. However, they came back home in the end and we cannot help but wonder if their survival is also owed to the number 13.
