Person Accidentally Packed Into a Suitcase? It Happens only in Hindi Serials

Indian serials are often extremely regressive and can sometimes be utterly far-fetched and contrived too. Remember that outlandish scene where one woman berates a bunch of others; interrogating them about chana and an empty cooker? It was the absurdity of the scene and the OTT acting that transformed Kokilaben Rap into a nationwide sensation. Sometimes Indian TV serials simply amaze us and blow our minds – and not for the best reasons, as this viral clip from Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 indicates:

Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 – suitcase scene

Here’s what seems to be happening: she trips, hits her head and neatly folds up into a suitcase. The suitcase then presumably zipped itself up and mysteriously lands up in water. Also people in serials think all their thoughts out loud.

A masterpiece!

People had questions: how did the suitcase get zipped up? How did it land in water? What happened then?

What was that?

Why would you show that to anyone early in the morning? Asks this tweet.

What in the world is that!

The sheer absurdity of the scene indicates the general IQ level of the series.

Someone remembered this

Apparently they did this in the Nagin 5 series.

And logic?

Logic? Who dat? Hindi soaps are not big on logic and other such extraneous stuff.

Nolan worthy

This tweet expresses the sarcastic view that this is as good as Oscar winning director Christopher Nolan's content.

Christopher Nolan would be like…

….Like this.

This also happened

Someone shot in the head gets to give her dying speech – enough to make the view speechless.

People wanted to know…

…How does one undo/unsee that?

Some thought it was hilarious

Others wanted to know whether the suitcase woman drowned or died or whatever.

Some were like…

… “I want whatever those writers were smoking when they wrote that”

To serial writers:

Why do they continue to give us such low-quality tripe?

Anything goes?

How do they continue to insult our intelligence day after day?

No, this makes no sense

However, the very fact that ridiculous series such as these continue to run; at times for several years, tells us that there is a definite demand for such drivel.

Sarcasm?

Not sure if this comment is sarcastic, but it is a fact that enough people are hooked on these nonsensical serials for makers to continue to make them. A ridiculous scene such as this one from Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 is made --- simply because enough people watch this.
