PewDiePie Made His Last Video – He Was ‘Like a Father’ For His Fans

Unless one has been living under the proverbial rock, one has heard of PewDiePie, the British-Swedish YouTuber who has the biggest subscriber base of any individual on the platform. He is the second most popular YouTuber in history; second only to T-Series. He has a whopping 102 million subscribers so clearly a lot of people like to watch his videos. All those people were understandably sad when the  Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg announced his last video because he was taking a break.

PewDiePie’s last video

So he unscrews a bottle and has a drink and then does whatever it is that the does which his followers like so much. He announces that he is taking a break and says he is not sure when he is coming back.

Taking a break

PewDiePie clarifies that he is not quitting, but that he is taking a break. So what will he do every day, he wonders.

Going to miss the ‘crazy dude’

The man literally has legions of devoted, loyal followers. They are clearly sad to hear the news of the sabbatical.

Came out of the blue

Fans were just doing their thing and then came the notification of a new video. They were happy until they actually watched it. And then, Blammo!

Some wished him well

He entertained people with regularly churned-out content for over ten years.

“Teenage dumbassery”

The guy has been around a long time and has created a lot of content. He has touched a lot of lives.

The boys are unhappy

PewDiePie has more male fans than female fans. So the guys are really unhappy.

Some are happy?

Apparently the subreddit will be happy? Not sure those guys in the picture are happy or really, really unhappy.

Really unhappy

At least the 9-year-olds are.

This old joke

It’s a big internet joke that the average age of PewDiePie video watchers is 9 years.

Sounds about right

So apparently that is a deeply dismayed demographic right now: 9-year-olds.

“Like a father to me”

Apparently he was like a father to all his fans.

See?

Everyone is like “he was like a father to me’.

why?

Why did so many think of him as their father? Because they are all nine apparently.

Not everyone is unhappy

One CNN article expressed the view that it was about time the man took a break; that his content was getting annoying and repetitive.

Needless to say

The article and its writer received a lot of hate.

:Sob:

Many will miss PewDiePie a lot. Please come back soon, was the tenor of a lot of tweets.

Not sure when

There is good news and bad news for fans.  The good news is that he not dead; just on a break. The bad news is no one knows when he’ll be back. Meanwhile, all the 9-year-old guys are really unhappy.
