Fans had been looking forward to the release of the trailer of Saaho for a quite a while. The fact that the film stars Telugu superstar Prabhas, who has a near-fanatical fan following was one reason for the avid interest. Also, this film was shot simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil which has attracted even more attention. Here is the trailer of Saaho and the memes that inevitably started soon after:
Saaho means courage or valour. The movie stars Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arun Vijay, Mandiar Bedi and others. International stunt choreographer, Kenny Bates has choreographed the action scenes of this slickly shot thriller.
The film is shot in exotic locations such as the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, Innsbruck and the Stubaier Glacier in Austria and elsewhere. The film releases on 30 August 2019.
This cinema advertised not the movie they were screening, but the trailer that would be screened beforehand. That is how big a deal the Saaho trailer is.
The cheering the, whistles, the crowd going crazy… and that’s just the trailer of the film. Fans can barely contain their anticipation of the film.
Though the Hindi trailer has about 38M views at the time of writing, it is the Telugu language trailer that is trending high on YouTube right now.
…They watched the Tamil/Telugu versions of the trailer because they couldn’t find the Hindi language trailer.
The Hindi trailer launched a little later than the Telugu trailer.
Murali Sharma plays a policeman called David in this film. This line of his seems to lend itself beautifully to memes. This one is for those who hate baingan.
In the film trailer Sharma is speaking about the visuals of the anti-smoking ads screened before movies. But the same goes for GOT as well: all that unexpected, gratuitous nudity and graphic violence and gore.
Apart from high-octane action, the trailer seems to promise a tumultuous love story… among other things.
Oftentimes, there is a halfway point in a movie when the villain could easily be done away with. But what would the hero do for the rest of the film then!
This scene also inspired quite a few memes; in this case it speaks about how some people’s salary doesn’t last till the end of the month.
…Is also in the film.
– Except the meme-makers, that is.
South Indian fans are proud of their film industry. They feel their movies are a lot better than much of the content Bollywood churns out.
Looking at the action-packed trailer of Saaho, I have to say they aren’t wrong.
