Let me say straight up that I haven’t yet mustered up the courage to watch Radhe - Your Most Wanted Bhai. Salman Khan’s latest release premiered simultaneously on Zee Plex, Zee 5 and in some theatres on 13 May. However, many have watched the movie – mainly loyal Salman Khan fans as well as those who perhaps had nothing better to do with Rs. 249 on a Thursday. Many of those that did watch the movie tell us about their excruciating experience - so we can save ourselves from said excruciating experience.
Because Salman. That is the image of a real fan right there, so I wouldn’t take this commentator at their word.
According to some reports, the film is garnering robust ticket sales where it has been able to have a theatrical release.
Renting the movie on Zee 5 and Zee Plex costs Rs. 249 to watch within a 4-hour window anytime over 21 days. Other bundled deals are also available.
The movie is supposed to be a sequel to Salman’s earlier film, Wanted and a remake of a 2017 South Korean film The Outlaws.
The more realistic reviews were along these lines.
As expected, the film seems to be a loosely connected series of brutally violent scenes, item numbers and fillers – little else.
This reviewer isn't known to be particularly scathing in his reviews – even he couldn’t find anything positive to say about Radhe.
The movie is implausible, has the thinnest of plots and is devoid of all logic felt many who watched it.
Prabhu Deva has directed Salman Khan in films such as Wanted and Dabangg 3 before. People feel that the director may also be as much to blame for the poor quality of the film as Salman himself.
Many viewers and reviews have expressed this view – that this film is just so outstandingly bad that it will likely kill off some brain cells after watching.
The tweeple have been suggesting remedies to recover from the brain damage caused by watching Radhe.
Yes, a dress and apparently dancing with Salman Khan. It would seem that this is what passed for ‘comedy’ in the film.
Why do filmmakers make such awful movies? For whom is this mediocrity manufactured and why do we viewers continue to accept it?
This review of Salman Khan’s Radhe - Your Most Wanted Bhai – explains why I am just not brave enough to actually watch this movie. And it echoes my oft-voiced angst that moviemakers continue to dish up drivel and treat us the audience like brainless nitwits. I say don’t accept Radhe – force them to do better. This review is undoubtedly more entertaining than the film is likely to be.
