So if you aren’t planning anything during summer, then consider these destinations during the monsoons.
Meghalaya
Meghalaya can’t get any more beautiful than during the monsoons. There is greenery everywhere and there is so much to do and explore – from exotic food to scenic treks. Do not forget to visit Nohsngithiang Falls and Langshiang Falls.
Leh
The region of Leh is accessible only for few months in the year. The region lacks heavy rains and thus monsoons are the perfect time to visit.
Goa
Goa is evergreen really. Monsoon being the off season, you will find Goa to be less crowded and hotels more affordable. What you get is a unique flavor of the place, lush green surroundings and serene beaches during the drizzles.
Jaisalmer
Very close to Thar, Jaisalmer will almost boil you during the hot summers. But come the monsoons, you can set out and explore this historic town. If you are lucky you can get a permit and visit Indo Pak border near Tanot.
