We are the generation that wants it all, and has too little time to do it. We slog at work during the day, want to party at night, want some me-time, and want to get some decent sleep as well, all squished into one day. How to manage all this with only 24 hours available is the question. Here are some answers.
Since when did working late become so cool?
Staying late in the office is not cool, no matter what your boss says. Isn’t it a way of saying 8 hours work is not your cup of tea and you need more time.
Gossip and breaks are really not worth your time
Ok let’s go for a Chai break, after that a Sutta break and then of course the evening walk. Well, how many do you need? The actual reasons for those breaks is the juicy grapevine. How about catching up later on WhatsApp?
Unless you take the break for some ‘Me’ time
Yes the me time is so very important. Do what you like, just from going for a swim to reading a book. These will help you finish work faster and make you more productive.
The to-do list
Yes we think, we know what we have to do at the back of our mind. But unless you have eidetic memory things can get jumbled up. So, writing everything out is not such a bad idea.
The daily chores
Some things have to be done daily, like brushing your teeth. The best way to tackle this bull by its horns is pushing them out of your way the very first thing. So, whether it is responding to mails or dropping kids off to school, put them on top of your priority list.
Don’t be Atlas
He had to bear the brunt of Earth’s weight. Share and delegate tasks, just don’t forget to follow up. Work shared will be done more quickly and efficiently.
Time management isn’t a colossal task. It’s your time, and your tasks after all. Prioritize and plan, with just these little tips from us.
