Sometimes I hear parents express anxiety about the future of their kids; their career prospects in particular. I tell them about Paul Flart – the man famous for farting. Why? I want to make the point that children will make something or the other with their lives; somehow they will manage. Most Indians still don’t know about this Indian. The firangs discovered him before we did. The novelty of a bling-laden Indian guy scarfing down his daily ‘chicken leg pis’ is apparently a source of huge hilarity and much delight.
According to the hugely funny ‘stick figure movie reviewer’ Rizwan, this phenomenon is like "Hello friends chai pee lo", but on an international scale.
He and his chicken legs have touched many lives; filled many dreary days with boundless joy.
Some of us have a deep and abiding love for the aforesaid chicken leg piece so Ulhas Kamathe’s affection for it is highly relatable.
They were like what ? Who? And most importantly why! Some wanted to know if Kamathe ever ate at home and what his monthly food bill was (some people like to have all the little details).
