Sometimes, people do what is least expected of them; recently there were two instances of people singing what was totally unexpected of them in particular. Anup Jalota is known for singing bhajans or devotional compositions, so what he did was really unexpected. Pakistanis are supposed to dislike India, so what a Pakistani man did was as unexpected:
Here he is seen singing a bit of the popular, rather raunchy item song pictured on Sunny Leone on the hit reality show Bigg Boss. This is a significant departure from his image of someone who leads public worship gatherings and has a record number of bestselling albums.
Jalota's cleancut image as a singer of devotional songs seems at odds with his personal life. He was married thrice and is now known to be dating 28 year old Jasleen Matharu who is also currently in the house of the Bigg Boss.
Inevitably there were jokes being made about the morning-evening relationship between the two.
Jalota still has legions of fans, who still want to hear him sing his bhajans and who believe in the power of his music.

On the occasion of International Peace Day on 21 September 2018, this video was shared and retweeted by many on social media.
As a gesture of peace and goodwill, the Pakistani man's rendition of Jana Gana Mana was much appreciated; though many resorted to whataboutery, found reasons to criticise and question motives.
While many felt that this was a staged event or at best mere optics, a number of Tweeple expressed the view that the common people of both nations do not view each other with hatred. No matter how much the hate-your-neighbour narrative is sought to be promoted, ordinary people just want to live in peace; free to live lives without hatred, discord and animosity.
