I have my personal reservations about Halloween – it is a strange ‘festival’ that celebrates the dead, undead and assorted other macabre phenomena. I especially think that this is the one ‘western’ observance that there is no need to import into India. However, I do grant that people can be very inventive and original on Halloween. Some of these Halloween costumes and ideas shared on social media are very interesting:
That is such a cool kid – rolling up in his own car and all! And that is also a non-greedy kid who took just a handful out of the big basket of sweets.
These parents used a remote-controlled truck to ‘drive’ their kid around the neighbourhood.
Someone thought the idea was good enough to copy.
The little kid was an inspiration to many.
I'm not sure what that is supposed to be – that is not something I would want to encounter on a cold dark night.
Or as in the case of Tom Felton (of Harry Potter fame) one’s character in a famous film franchise
This was like a celebrity tribute, given that vaccines and medical personnel have saved countless people all over the world

Remember the ship that blocked the Suez Canal? Well someone decided to be that ship, but with a twist: the name of this one is Ever Stuck.
