High-Heeled Crocs? Doesn’t That Defeat Their Main Purpose?

I have nothing against high heels – I wear them when I want to want to borrow a few inches of height and know that I don't have to walk much. But now they tell us there will be high heeled Crocs – which seem to defeat the very purpose of their existence. Crocs shoes are famous for being puzzlingly expensive and let’s face it – rather ugly. The main features of Crocs are practicality and comfort. Add high heels and that is severely compromised – many of the tweeple had similar thoughts:

Stiletto Crocs?

Stiletto Crocs are here to erase all of your pandemic comforts, said one report. Crocs partnered with Balenciaga to create something that is supposed to be 'comfy and crazy'.

Or perhaps this

It is also said that these shoes will retail at --- wait for it – $ 850. People are visualising the possibilities.

Kill it with fire…

…Said one tweet. God has abandoned us, said another.

So wrong!

More than just a fashion faux pas, this is just wrong, felt the tweeple.

No!

One commentator described this as a fashion hate crime, while another said this.

Is this a joke?

Because First of April was some time ago.

As if things aren't bad enough…

…These hideous things make them somehow worse.

Ugly!

How do I unsee this, wondered some of the tweeple.

Is there a reason for these shoes to exist?

Perhaps there is a very specific market segment with a specific demand being fulfilled here?

Is this a shoe?

Is this a shoe?

Looks more like a doorstopper, feels this commentator.

There are these

People will buy strange things – if someone makes them.

Last year we had these

They partnered with KFC to create fried chicken Crocs – that look like these – and hold your breath – smell like fried chicken.

A mockery!

People thought that the stiletto Crocs are just funny.

Others were like

Just – no!

Others got a bit emotional

If there are stiletto Crocs in the world, they don’t want to be in it anymore.
