List Of People Who Will Never Feature On #IndiasMostLovedCEO. Find Out Why

There’s no telling what will start to trend on Twitter, why and when. #IndiasMostLovedCEO was trending recently and the Tweeple were nominating everyone from the Prime Minister to the CEO of Infosys to Mark Zuckerberg (not Indian but whose checking on Twitter, right?) all the way to themselves (the more narcissistic) as #IndiasMostLovedCEO. But who are India’s least loved CEOs?

First, what makes a CEO least loved?

Anyone can have a bad CEO. Simply anyone! You probably recognize this guy don’t you?

If there was a prize for #MostHatedIndiaCEO

Vijay Mallya would undoubtedly feature in the top three. All the top banks are after him, his former employees hate him with a passion and then there are plenty of others who regard him as Public Enemy No 1.

There is a special kind of regard Indians have for him

They love to hate him! Al lot of Indian mothers are wondering why their 'hais' haven't hit him yet.

Ramalinga Raju of Satyam

Ramalinga Raju of Satyam is another of the most hated CEOs. Notorious as the progenitor of the Satyam scam, he is thought to have embezzled about a billion dollars. Those Indians that don’t hate him, probably envy him!

Lalit Modi - IPL

Here is another Indian CEO – former IPL head honcho – who is envied for his lifestyle and pilloried for it too. He is another Indian we love to hate; some perhaps hate and envy him in equal measure.

Subrata Roy, Shahara

Here is another Indian CEO and tycoon who was a darling of the business world; someone who soon became the exact opposite of that. He allegedly owes about Rs 40,000 crore to investors in his chit fund scheme, has assets of over five times that amount and still refuses to pay! Clearly he likes it in Tihar Jail!

The richest CEO

Mukesh Ambani is not the most hated (unless you count how many people hate his home Antilla, eyesore and personification of conspicuous consumption) but as one of the richest guys in the world, all too many people envy him.

And then there is the political patronage of these CEOs

In India, politics is everywhere and in everyone's business; literally. Is it any wonder that we keep hearing of the business-politics nexus resulting in scam after scam?
