Those who believe diamonds are a girl’s best friend obviously never had a dog. I subscribe to this adage. For what are cold hard pieces of shiny glass when compared with a warm heart, a warmer embrace, a mile wide grin, unconditional love and unshakable loyalty? If you're a dog lover, you will agree with this and with what follows:
God’s Dog’s love, it’s so wonderful! I believe that is the correct way to sing this song. Because dogs are steadfast and loving to a fault! You can do no wrong and there is nothing you can do that will make that dog un-love or unfriend you!
Literally nothing!
…Its many puppies! For me, puppies are as irresistible as… no nothing is more irresistible.
It isn’t just that your stress melts away when you come home to a furiously wagging tail and madly loving welcome. Studies show that dogs help relieve stress among kids and adults and keep kids healthier as well.
You can scold them; you can punish them, forget to feed them, neglect their walk and even heap humiliation on them – such as this unforgivable unicorn costume – and they will forgive you and they will still adore you!
You never come home to an empty house. You never feel lonely. Also you never have to pick food up off the floor or clear up the mess of the eggs accidently dropped on the floor.
That dog may have done something quite unspeakable, but he’s really, really sorry. Or really, really confused. Who has the heart to punish that!
There is so much we can learn from dogs apart from loyalty and the ability to love unconditionally: how to handle stress and not to let difficult situations get to you!
They dominate your social life; dictate your holiday choices and more. But hey! They prevent the annoying uncle from visiting – so it’s all good!
Ok one – dogs’ lives are too short. A dog makes one's life whole; losing a dog is like losing a family member. That is literally their only fault that they don’t live long enough.
