Yes, we love our parents and everything about them, but isn’t there the moment when they start their emotional aatyachar and you go into that Oh no! not again,  mark.  Yes, our parents have very typical set dialogues that they use as weapons to blackmail us whenever they get a chance. We’re pretty sure, you have also gone through this phase, so let’s reminisce.

1. Comparison phase

The most common phase is when your parents compare you with other kids. Like “Sharma ji ke bache ke itne marks aaye”. You know, the never ending torture.

2.’Just because of you I am living’

This phrase is often used by our mother  whenever she wants anything from you. This line is like a weapon for our moms.

3.’Think of us as your friends’

Well! our parents often have double standards when we try to treat them as our friends. Suddenly mom gets charged up and says ‘We are your parents, not your friends.’

4.’ You can never succeed in your life’.

Mostly, this phrase is used by our dads so that we start concentrating on our lives and prove them wrong. To be honest, it does work sometimes.

5. ‘There is no one to help me out’

Mom! Who else will use this phrase? Whenever she is doing some household work and looks at you sitting idle, she has this dialogue and nothing else.

6.’You are our best child’

Whenever you and your sibling fight, your parents always say this dialogue to make you stop or sometimes to share your stuff.

7. ‘Do whatever you want to do’

Your parents make this comment when they are super annoyed with you. So, you better not to do what you were supposed to before asking them.
