Most of us struggle to do a chin up. But this muscle-bound fitness freak is doing that and more – by lifting a bench chained to him at the same time. It is marvellous to see the ease with which he does this and it is an impressive show of strength to be sure. But the question that springs to mind is – why! Take a look at the video:
Yes, yes you're super-strong. You can lift your own weight and a much more besides and then pull yourself over a bar higher than you… You can do a weighted muscle-up – no one doubts that.
Some thought that this was some guy just clowning around and that gyms shouldn’t allow this sort of thing.
Why would anyone do that! Also what is that?
Some thought that this was just someone trying something new in the gym – because why not.
Some guy is waiting to use the bench that is so cavalierly being hoisted up in the air.
Extreme exercises like these are an invitation to needless injury – there is no need to do something like this.
There is no need to do this unless it is to prepare for an extremely specific occurrence that is not likely to occur. Ever.
But the bench is levitating.

This is most of us – we can barely do the most basic of weights, leave aside this kind of extreme – whatever it is supposed to be.
…For the gym employees who have to deal with this type of exhibitionism /inappropriate behaviour.
This is not the first guy to have tried something extreme

Making a TikTok or a reel or whatever is important! So what if some other folks have to wait.
If he wanted to do something more challenging why chain himself to a bench? Why not just use some extra weights?

For a lot of people, that guy hoisting himself up in some sort of extreme pullup with a whole bench chained to himself – just hilarious! But for the rest of us, it was just – why!
