You know how in these busy, super-connected times so many people ‘meet’ and fall in love online and that is the start of their happily ever after? In fact, some even met on social media and trended #WeMetOnTwitter with pictures of how it began and how it’s going. And then there are those who use dating apps to meet people. Some of these perpetually online souls are just realising that it is possible to date without using dating apps. They now want to date the ‘old fashioned way’.
To be clear the reference to onions and peaches is from a book by Louis Sachar and later movie called Holes where the spiced peaches and onions are important plot devices.
Right now with so many restrictions on movement and meeting people, the idea really seemed to resonate. Meeting at a farmers’ market was one idea.
