I am a little clueless about fizzy/carbonated drinks because I am not particularly fond of them. Though I cannot tell a Coke from a Pepsi from a Thums Up (do forgive me) I know many that can; they usually have a clear favourite and possibly disparage the rest. Now it also seems that the beverage Sprite tastes different depending upon where you have it. According to some of the tweeple it tastes different at McDonald’s. McDonald’s responded too.
