We've all seen those idiots in public – the ones who cannot be bothered to wear a mask properly – or at all! If we are honest we've been those idiots: because we forgot, because it’s hot & sweaty, it’s irritating…. etc. etc. Sometimes we need a pooch to give us some advice. This twitter post about some adorable doggies with masks helped send out the right message:
Don’t slide it down, don’t slide it up and don’t let it dangle from one ear. Wear it properly; covering both your nose and your mouth. These rather handsome dogs can do it. Surely we can too – in the interests of those around and our own interests as well?
In response, there were more demos of the wrong and right ways to wear a mask.
The message is clear and the cute doggies draw attention to it.
Doggies are disciplined and smart enough to sit and stay when they have to. Humans can be altogether stupider.
It was up to these cute fellows to demonstrate the right way to wear a mask.
One needs to keep physical distance from others in public, maintain hand hygiene and to wear a mask that covers the mouth and nose fully.
The mask should be the right material and ought to have a nose wire that helps secure it in place upon the nose bridge.
Surgical masks are designed to be discarded after one use. Cloth masks, on the other hand, can be washed and reused and are recommended for use by non-medical people.
There are some famous people who also don’t seem to know how to wear a mask properly.

Sand artists Sudarshan is known to create sand sculptures to increase public awareness on various subjects including wearing masks.
Pretty sure that is meant to be a joke, but a mask that leaves the mouth open is pretty useless too!
The need to wear masks is not just for our own protection but also for the protection of those around. There may be old people, people with illnesses who may be more at risk. If not anything else, do it because right now, wearing a mask is just simple good manners.
