The biggest, tallest and most amazing things routinely seem to land up in Dubai, UAE. Some of the world's most expensive items also get unveiled in Dubai. Remember the shoes, cake, and perfume that were unveiled in Dubai? Well, now there is the most expensive car key – not a car – a car key that was unveiled in Dubai. This is one key that absolutely no one wants to misplace!
Valued at $17 million, these were said to be the most expensive shoes in the world. The shoes were studded with some 236 diamonds and were displayed at the Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai.
It was a wedding cake that cost a million dollars – quite literally! The 120 kg cake featured the bride and everyone could get a ‘taste’. 1,000 eggs and 20 kg of chocolate went into the creation.
There was about 50 kg of lace confectionary, handmade flowers, pearls and so on used for the cake. And just by the way, the cake also featured some inedible decorations: three-carat diamonds that cost $200 million.
The perfume Shumukh cost $1.29M for a three litre bottle. The unisex perfume would last for 12 hours. The perfume is a product of three years of research and 494 perfume trials. The bottle consists of over 3 thousand diamonds, giant pearls, 2.5 kg gold and 3.9 kg silver!
The world's most expensive car key was launched in Dubai. It is priced at Dh 2 million or half a million euros. Usually the keys to the fanciest cars tend to be rather ordinary. This is an attempt to change all that; to ensure that the best cars also have keys to match.
The key is studded with 34.5 carats of high grade diamonds, precious metal, fine wood and leather. Three lines of customisable keys to supercars were launched by Finland-headquartered Awain.
One could say, why! Or one could say why not!
