Useful Products You Didn’t Know You Needed

There are many things we need. There are even more things we want. Then there are those things that we need but didn’t know we needed. Did you, for instance, have a problem with your Wi-Fi reaching all areas of the house? Did you know you could do something about it (I'm not too tech savvy so I did not know this till recently)? I’ve made a list of things that I think I need – ideas from here and there.

Wi-Fi repeater

If the signal from the Wi-Fi router doesn’t reach upstairs or the inner recesses of your bathroom, this is the thing you need to extend the range of your Wi-Fi – a range extender or repeater.

Grabber, pick up tool

It is marketed to the elderly or those with mobility issues. Equally it’s a great product for the dedicated couch potatoes or the plain lazy among us. Very importantly it reaches things that have fallen behind the couch, under the bed, between the fridge and the wall… so useful!

Scratch Off World Map

This is supposed to be a geography teaching aid for kids (and geographically challenged adults I imagine). It is also great for people with travel goals. Visit a place; scratch it off your map. Literally.

Acupressure Massage Ball

Not sure how effective this would be, but it just looks like it could feel delicious to roll it over the neck, under the soles of the feet, over the arms and so on.

Clothes folder

I’ve wanted one of these ever since I saw Sheldon doing this in the Big Bang Theory but assumed that it was one of those made-only-for-lazy-Americans thingiebobs. It’s available on Amazon and I was happy to discover.

Dry shampoo

This I want only out of curiosity. I just want to see if it works. At all. I'm pretty sure it wouldn’t do the job as well as water and regular shampoo, but hey! They do it this way in space!

USB stick with memory indicator

How nice to be able to tell how much space there is on a memory device without having to boot up the computer! Fair warning though: this one is not available on amazon.in

Armrest table

It can be used for your sofa or computer chair – great if you don’t have a side table or to keep a glass, mug or snack plate within easy reach.

Self-stirring mug

I want this one because I hate that my instant coffee and/or sugar settles to the bottom of my mug. Or maybe I'm just lazy.

Thin Optics

I don’t want these; I’ve have them and used them for years now. I recommend them to everyone who has reading glasses. These perch on the bridge of your nose rather like a pince nez. They tuck neatly into an envelope that sticks to the back of your phone, your wallet or any object that you carry around all the time.
