15 March is World Sleep Day; the day when we give a thought to the many benefits of sleep and perhaps try to make changes to get more sleep. Sleep helps shore up the immunity, makes us healthier and smarter! Some social media users take the observance seriously and decided to spend the day in bed; others did this:
People were wishing each other. Some seemed envious of others who seemed to be able to sleep when and where they pleased!
World Sleep Day is special for those who love sleep: that peaceful, restful, delicious cocoon of oblivion; where you drift gently off into dreamland…
Not getting enough sleep has negative consequences for health, memory and performance. Many of us don’t get enough sleep. World Sleep Day is an occasion to call attention to these problems and to try and offer effective solutions to the sleep deprived.
Some would like nothing better than to be reborn as someone's beloved pet. Nothing to do but eat and sleep and be loved all day!
