The coronavirus pandemic requires us to get used to a new normal – physical distancing, staying indoors and wearing protective gear when in public. Mask-wearing is seen to be an effective way to stop or at least significantly reduce the spread of COVID. However, the whole issue of mask-wearing has taken on a political colour. One segment of the population; particularly in the United States has declared war on mask-wearing.
They refuse to wear masks because they bizarrely believe it be part of some evil design to divest them of their rights and freedoms. They are of course being widely ridiculed on social media.
Since the US president has consistently appeared in the media without a mask his supporters, in particular, have seen this as tacit support for their anti-mask stance. People don’t have a lot of patience for #AntiMaskerProblems; they just think they're Covidiots.
Those who are scrupulous about maintaining distance, mask-wearing and hand hygiene feel that anti-maskers are just being selfish, entitled and irresponsible; endangering others in the process.

The website dedicated to selling unique handmade items now features these anti-masker masks, shared this Twitter user. It started a long thread about anti-maskers.

Some don’t want to use masks because they are inconvenient. People pointed out some consequences of not wearing masks could be far more than just inconvenient.
Anti-maskers think that masks are useless and they just give people a false sense of security.
