While other billionaires and richest men in the world (in the past and currently) all seem to want to go into space, but not Bill Gates apparently. Bill Gates is also one of the richest people in the world, but he isn't as interested in space ships as some of the others of his income bracket. This is what he said recently on the James Corden show:
When Gates appeared on the James Corden Show, he seemed to suggest that he wasn’t much interested in going to space – with the need to get rid of malaria, HIV and other diseases there is enough to do right here on Earth.
Bill Gates is someone that conspiracy theorists love to hate. He has been accused of everything from creating diseases to sell more vaccines to implanting chips in people to turn them into robots to engineering largescale genocide of the human species.
Among the many who hate Gates are the anti-vaxxers, His commitment to fighting climate change will inevitably be given a sinister twist and a dark, evil motive as well.
For Gates, it’s kind of damned if you do and damned if you don’t. In this convoluted tweet, the ‘destroyer’ wants Gates to focus on health and not the disease (it is unclear how one is to achieve healthy without removing disease, though). He would like Gates to move to Mars.
This is a fact and there are those who believe profit to be a dirty word. They also hate Bill Gates or regard him with deep suspicion at the very least.
Seeing how philanthropy is a big part of what Gates does, one Twitter user appealed to him to buy and hence save this mangrove area.
Apart from his many detractors, there are many who admire Gates as well and believe that he is doing far more worthwhile things with his money than many other ‘richest men’.
Who needs that?
There are many better uses for the Earth’s collective resources than blowing them up on something that is basically a really expensive joyride
When people with money and power such as Bill Gates speak about issues that really matter to us collectively as a species and as inhabitants of planet Earth, this is encouraging. Surely saving the planet that is dying before our eyes has to be more important than really expensive space joyrides.
