BTS, or the Bangtan Boys are a K-pop group with a following that most musicians can only dream of. In case you're wondering, BTS is an acronym for Bangtan Sonyeondan; translated meaning Bulletproof Boy Scouts. People also say BTS stands for Burn the Stage but BTS say that it stands for Beyond the Scene; whatever that means. These guys are huge in India. Everyone wonders when and if they will ever visit. Meanwhile, fans trended #BTSTourInINDIA; probably to call attention to the fact that the K pop boys have never come here and so far have no plans to do so either.
This is the first Indian official “A.R.M.Y FANCLUB” which is a member of @BTS_Fambases. They were triumphant that the hashtag #BTSTourInINDIA was trending; and that this wasn’t even a paid promotion /trend.
Bangtan India obviously went full out to get their hashtag to trend on Twitter; egging people on to tweet more; yet more!
Is a tour possible? If so when and if not why not!
Fans were plugging India as a great place to perform. They also promised no ‘sasaeng’ which is a term used to describe obsessed K pop fans who stalk, spy on and intrude into the lives of their idols in any way possible.
So when will they come here? When will they yell ‘Namaste India?’ No one quite knows this yet.
Perhaps they’ll come here, maybe they’ll perform. Maybe they’ll take an auto ride…
The Bangtan fan club of Lucknow suggested their city as a destination for the ‘princes’ and thought that the spectacular Bara Imambara would be a wonderful place for them to visit.
Apparently, the boys are fond of saunas. The fans offered them soothing spa experiences at some of India's best resorts to try and tempt them.
Fans are more eager than ever for BTS to visit India. Somehow they felt that getting #BTSTourInINDIA to trend at No 1 for several hours would sway things in their favour.
The BTS world tour includes several American and European destinations, no mention of India yet.
The ‘sweetest part of India’ also joined in the #BTSTourInINDIA chorus.
We deserve it, said fans! I cannot pretend to understand the mind of the obsessed fan. But then I think back to phenomena such as Beatlemania and other groups that have had cult following; the way fans would scream and cry and faint from being overwhelmed just by being in the presence of their idol(s). Obsessions are fun! Apparently.
