There are going to be some high tech and fairly innovative ways in which The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE to its friends) plans to use to prevent kids from cheating during exams. Some students are extremely innovative themselves when it comes to cheating during exams; CBSE is going all out to ensure that they are one up on the kids:
What the CBSE plans to do
Electric torches will be used to check the ears of students for any listening or other devices that could be used for cheating.
Metal detectors will be installed and mobile jammers will ensure that students don’t use mobiles, tablets and other devices for cheating.
Women (and probably this guy) will have to tie their hair. Women with scarves, hijab or the nun’s wimple/ habit will have to report early for thorough frisking.
No shoes, wallets or wrist watches will be allowed. Students will have to be in sandals or slippers. No caps, religious symbols or rings either! All that students will be allowed to carry is their ID and admit card.
What students will try and do anyway
Some students will still feel it is their bounden duty to try and cheat. Some will use old methods; some will try innovative new ideas.
Many will rely on their exam chits… the tried and tested way to make a bathroom break ‘rewarding’.
This guy will probably grow up to have his own name-on-a-grain-of-rice business.
Some methods of cheating are more elaborate than others. Some methods may elicit some sympathy as a bonus!
Better not to try this method… exam invigilators have eyes you know! And they probably won’t allow that water bottle anyway.
Some believe that women have a natural advantage when it comes to cheating. You see there are dresses and there are thighs. Then finally and apparently there is the cleavage.
